Petoskey Stones are a staple of Northern Michigan life, and now, luxury watch maker Shinola is turning the official state stone into a watch.
The watches cost between $700 and $750.
According to the Detroit Free Press:
"Shinola is now selling a watch that feels like a true tribute to northern Michigan.
The Detroit-based maker of luxury watches has unveiled the "Petoskey Stone Collection," a series of watches with authentic Petoskey stones inside. The Petoskey stone is Michigan's state stone.
These watches come in two styles: The Cass 28mm ($700) and the Canfield 38mm ($750). You can read more about it on the Shinola Journal.
The Petoskey stones inside the watches are "hand-polished," according to the Journal, and the watches feature leather straps and stainless steel cases."
