Michigan is sending twenty four National Guardsmen and three helicopters to Texas on Thursday to help with flood relief efforts.
Hurricane Harvey has devastated the region, leaving thousands stranded and homeless.
Local and state authorities are estimated to have rescued over 10,000 people.
According to WPBN:
"Twenty-four Michigan Army National Guardsmen are preparing to mobilize to Texas in an effort to aid victims of Tropical Storm Harvey.
The Michigan soldiers are expecting to deploy Thursday morning to Grand Prairie, Texas where they will receive orders.
Three Michigan Army National Guard helicopters will be sent to Texas for hoist recovery and evacuation missions."
