He made headlines for a stunning daytime ATM heist at two Traverse City hotels back in May, and now Charles Peterson finds himself in the spotlight again after police found a third ATM at his house in Kingsley.
Peterson will face charges for the newly discovered ATM, which is connected to a theft from downstate.
Peterson left empty crates in place of what he claimed were new machines.
According to 9 & 10 News:
"A Kingsley man was sent to jail for stealing two ATMs last week.
Now the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office said Thursday he has been charged with another ATM theft in Bay City.
Back in May, Charles Peterson Jr. told two different hotels he was a repair man there to switch out their ATMs. But instead of giving them new machines, he left an empty crate.
When investigators recovered the two ATMs, they also found another one which was connected to a Bay City investigation."
